This CD contains a number of applications creation, editing, and playing of Music with the aid of a computer. These programs are for the manipulation of the abstract notation of music, and are not sound editors, as such. The various packages appear to be useful, but naturally I cannot certify that they are all worthwhile for any particular purpose. I have included some documentation, where possible. You may need one of the commonly available unzip utilities, such as PKUNZIP or WinZip or tar, depending upon your system environment. In addition, packages contain documentation at varying levels of thoroughness, which you will see when you expand the archives in which they are stored. Note that there are various archive formats, which generally are appropriate to the area of applicability of the contents.
